Clearing?

Made a trek down to the river/lake around 2:45 in the afternoon, just in time for the previously sunny day to turn cloudy & begin raining lightly — still amazed how fast the weather can change here — but decided to stick it out & wait to see if & when the precipitation would pass. So glad I did, despite 50° temps & a chilly, 18mph breeze. Found another parking lot just south of the pier, with new views of the lakeshore, which revealed 3 parasurfers in wetsuits taking advantage of the (ideal) conditions...my photos of them aren't so good, but it was great watching them go at it.

By the time I got home, the clouds had moved on, but the breeze persisted, harbinger of a drastic weather change coming tonight. Nevertheless, managed to get a couple pictures of the backyard before retreating from the chill.

And, although Buffy had gone into hiding (again) while I was gone, she emerged sooner than the last time & later even ventured up into my lap for a while. So it seems she's settling in pretty well, although it still does take some time before she stops being skittish after I return.
