Fun with birds

An assortment of finches, chickadees & sparrows(?) visited my feeders throughout the day yesterday. Getting their pictures is pretty much a crap shoot, even with a remote shooting setup. It's a process of trying to anticipate their movements & take into account the lagtime of the digital shutter...very far from a sure thing...not to mention any of the events going on out there that might scare them off, including the occasional traffic jams that occur when multiple birds attempt to alight on the feeders at the same time. Only a small fraction of the dozens of shots I take are any good, let alone fully focused & properly lit. I have to work at accepting the imperfect results...not to mention being rather unsure of properly identifying the birds, my Audobon guide notwithstanding.
