A rose is a rose is a rose...
Spent a cool-ish Father's Day watching a Chicago Cubs' game (which they unfortunately lost) with Lois & Mac, but before the game started took some pictures of the profusion of Lo's roses...unfortunately, most of the shots didn't come out too well, a few were decent, but none of them do justice to the gardener's paradise that is her backyard...have got a lot to learn about taking digital photos: the best camera settings for the location/conditions/subject, when to use them & when not to...but the only way to learn is to just do it...& then pay attention to the results, which makes the near-immediate feedback (i.e., not having to wait for "development" & getting an unlimited number of shots) so useful.......
Anyway, have continued working hard, on web site for Joe & new one for Gretchen & trying to implement new ideas on all. Spending way too many hours at the computer but considering the weather last week lots of rain & very cool temps, like in the 40s at night not a bad use of my time. Still, managed to get a good shot of Buffy & friends last week...sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Oh, also mowed the lawn again, yesterday, this time without incident.
