In just a few hours yesterday afternoon we got some 5-6 inches of snow! (And it wasn't even lake-effect stuff — this time they got more snow inland, some 10-11 inches at Grand Rapids.) The first snow of the season & my first snow-covered Thanksgiving in perhaps 40-45 years? Is this a harbinger of what the winter will be like? We didn't have a substantial snow last year until, what, a week before Christmas...oh dear.

I'll have more photos up later but gotta go now to start preparing my share (the green veggies & an apple crisp) of our friends' Thanksgiving feast.......
