Site, updated

Well, I think I've got the new design down, for now. Although I'm continually surprised by how much tweaking I keep finding it absolutely, irresistibly, compulsively necessary to carry out...'cause the ideas just don't stop coming, even when I believe they're done. I seem to always find yet another level to take it to, yet another extension for this blogging tool, to make the site good, better, best & take it beyond "mere" blogging. And that's just with the tool. The design aspect is yet another infinite, or at least ever-evolving, level of the ongoing project. Which makes it feel like a self-generating, self-sustaining, self-stimulating piece of art (as if...well, that's my hope, anyway).

So, for now, the most recent (8 or so) photos will automatically show up in a reduced (& thus faster downloading) size at the top of the Michigosh home page, while staying stored separately (& forever accessible, hopefully) at their full size in Michigosh Photos. Both sites are linked & yet free-standing, so you can move easily back & forth, to & fro, between them.... In addition, the photos are now categorized (although somewhat arbitrarily & in a rather limited way) by subject & thus are sorted accordingly.

Which brings me to the next technical step, which will be to install a search to streamline the "finding & sorting" process.... However, before delving into that, the Family Archive has to be expanded, which means coming up with a more efficient scanning/processing procedure. Whenever I get that figured out, the Recently Posted Photos list atop the sidebar at right will automatically update.

And so, ever onward & upward, amen.
