Spring cleaning

Contrary to reports of snowstorming in the Midwest this past weekend, here we got a mere half-inch or so that only clung to grassy surfaces (& my deck) & quickly melted, amen. Although it was quite windy & cold, Buffy & I refused to pay it too much attention. 'Specially since the wintry weather was all my fault. See, under the influence of a couple weeks' lovely, warm (60s & such) Spring weather, last weekend I committed the faux pas — actually, the heinous hubristic act — of removing the plastic insulation from my windows, opening them wide & reinstalling all the screens. My bad.

But it's over now, temps climbed back into the 50s today, may just stay there a bit & I don't care as long as the grass & my peonies keep growing. Yes, miracle of miracles, the peonies have defied my illogical fears (& the weather) and are sprouting quite nicely. I have a photo to prove it...check it out here.

Which brings me to another kind of Spring cleaning. I survived the wintry blast, in part, by creating a new online site for my photos, one that should be easier to maintain & will show updates here, automatically, whenever I add new ones. That automatic part will happen for both Michigosh & Buffy photos. [And wonder of wonders, Family Archive photos too, that is, whenever I can get back to scanning 'em again...am attempting to work out a better, simpler, easier method of processing those & hope to have that worked out soon.]

Since I'm more into the photo part of doing this site than the weblog/journal, the idea was to facilitate posting the imagery. Consequently, the design of Michigosh will be undergoing further renovations in coming days. In the meantime, you can view the results so far by clicking on this link or the thumbnail photos & links here as well as those in the sidebar at right. And do feel free to let me know what you think...feedback is a good thing!
