Kites on the lakeshore

This weekend was the annual lakeshore kite-flying contest, generally a spectacular event. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it yesterday & today turned very blustery & chilly (50s). Which eliminated all but a hardy few. Using the pier as a windbreak, I managed this shot of some of the hardier flyers.
